The department has been in service since 1955, and began with the merger of 2 departments.
The men and women that make up the department are your neighbors, friends, and relatives, and are actively involved in the community. We are striving to make this a better place to work, live and raise your family.

ON LOCATION: Park 90 Office Warehouses (vacant), 12719 Crosby Frwy. heading west, just before S. Lake Houston Parkway—there is no threat to the surrounding residents, CenterPoint Gas has been notified, our Sta. No. 1 on site. Probable cause loose riser coupling causing slow leak.

Operational conditions at the LyondellBasell Channelview Complex 2502 Sheldon Road have resulted in flaring at the facility. Flaring is a safety and environmental control device used to manage and combust process materials. The community may notice a bright flame, smoke, or a rumbling noise during this time. You do not need to take any action. We are actively working to stop flaring quickly and safely. The@ focus is to minimize inconvenience and protect the safety of the community, the environment, and our employees. Questions can be directed to askchannelview@lyb.com. Review Lowering the Current Public Protection Class
ISO (Insurance Services Office) of Austin, Tx - recently met with Sheldon Community Fire & Rescue to review lowering the current PPC (Public Protection Class) rating of Class 3. Many thanks to District Chief Chris McCrary and Capt. Jonathan Ponce on their diligence in getting this submitted. We’ll definitely keep you posted!
