Welcome to the Sheldon Community Fire & Rescue website. We hope to reach out to the community and provide safety tips, fire prevention techniques, and useful resources.
The department has been in service since 1955, and began with the merger of 2 departments.
The men and women that make up the department are your neighbors, friends, and relatives, and are actively involved in the community. We are striving to make this a better place to work, live and raise your family.

Doppler radar is tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms over Magnolia, or near Pinehurst, moving west to southwest at 15 mph. Take precautions if traveling through these areas listed.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Conroe, Humble, Katy, Tomball, Jersey Village, Hempstead, Willis, Prairie View, Brookshire, Hunters Creek Village, Bunker Hill Village, Piney Point Village, Pinehurst, Northside / Northline, Kingwood, Spring Branch North, The Woodlands, Greater Greenspoint, Spring, and Greater Heights.

The History of Sheldon
Sheldon, Texas is an unincorporated community in northeastern Harris County, Texas. The Sheldon area is located along Beltway 8 and US Highway 90 approximately twelve miles northeast of Downtown Houston.
