Welcome to the Sheldon Community Fire & Rescue website. We hope to reach out to the community and provide safety tips, fire prevention techniques, and useful resources.
The department has been in service since 1955, and began with the merger of 2 departments.
The men and women that make up the department are your neighbors, friends, and relatives, and are actively involved in the community. We are striving to make this a better place to work, live and raise your family.

GENERATOR REMINDER: check your generator fuel/oil levels - whether portable or installed model. Do not overfill fuel/oil levels, most generators shut off when levels are low as a safety precaution. Check the filter also. Not sure how to do it? Many videos on YouTube or get someone who KNOWS what they’re doing.

CenterPoint Energy and other electric Companies have arrived here from different parts of Texas to start restoring power. Be patient - they’re working as hard as they can to get this grid back up and running Keep in mind shortages of materials will cause other delays. Houston has a higher priority so this should help with obtaining the materials needed.
