Fire Chief Welcome

Welcome to the Sheldon Community Fire & Rescue website. We hope to reach out to the community and provide safety tips, fire prevention techniques, and useful resources.

The department has been in service since 1955, and began with the merger of 2 departments.

The men and women that make up the department are your neighbors, friends, and relatives, and are actively involved in the community. We are striving to make this a better place to work, live and raise your family.

Facilities

Sheldon Community Fire and Rescue has a long-standing commitment and history of providing a rapid response time from one of our 4 stations.

Personnel

We are staffed by personnel that consider the community and residents their home and family.

TREE GIVEAWAY
Please sign up at treesforhouston.org

Via TFH: “Our next (and final) registered tree giveaway event of the season will be held at LeRoy Crump Stadium (12321 High Star Dr, 77072) on Saturday, May 18, and we will have five (5) tree species available:
Black Diamond Crepe Myrtle
Vitex
American Fringe
Mexican Plum
Barbados Cherry
Registrants will be able to receive a maximum of five (5) trees (any species combo) per car while supplies last.

Tree pick-ups will be based on last name:
A-L 9 a.m. - 10 a.m.
M-Z 10 a.m. - 11 a.m.

The increased popularity and demand for tree giveaways have exceeded our wildest expectations, and having registered events like this allows us to host them as safely and efficiently, making it possible for us to provide everyone with an equal opportunity to receive the species and quantity of trees they'd like.
REGISTER at treesforhouston.org
Please rest assured that your trees will be waiting for you, so there is no need to get in line early or arrive before your allotted time slot. Always follow the officer's directions and the flow of traffic. If you are not registered, you will not receive trees.

At this time, we are unable to hold trees that are not picked up.”
